Gen. Tarfa expressed happiness that NMS has been re-positioned in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s vision,”To have a professionally responsive Nigerian Army in the discharge of its constitutional roles”.
He said the recent resuscitation of military training in the institution has also once again restored the school to it’s traditional obligation of producing mid level manpower for the Nigerian Army.
The special guest of honour charged them to be loyal to the constituted authority and to strive to keep the core values of the Nigerian Army.
He also urged the remaining students to remain steadfast and resolute in their studies and to maintain high level of discipline and to shun all forms of vices.
In his address the Commandant Nigerian Military School Brigadier GEN. Muhammed M. Bunza said this set of boys were adequately prepared to enable them competently perform their military duties in the field.
He said the boys have been exposed to both theoretical and outdoor exercise.
Bunza said NMS has over time presented itself as an institution of reference, a centre of unity and national orientation.
The oath taking signifies the commencement of military life for the passing out boys.
