Katsina State Government has distributed instructional materials worth 15 million Naira to Community Skills Development and Business Apprentice Training Centres across local governments in the state.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Directorate of Employment Promotion and Vocational Training, Alhaji Hussaini Adamu Karadua launched the distribution of the materials at the premises of BTAC, Katsina.
Materials distributed include sets of desktop computers and accessories and tools for tailoring, leather work and building materials.,
Others are tools for carpentry, welding and fabrication, electrical instruments, hospitality and catering materials.
The items were distributed to six Community Skills Development Centres and four Business Apprentice Training Centres across the State.
Alhaji Hussaini Adamu added that they were provided to improve teaching and learning at the centres for more productivity.
He affirmed the commitment of the State Government to empower youths to become productive.
The Special Adviser assured that the centres would continue to be accorded with all necessary support and assistance in view of their importance in training students.
Alhaji Hussaini Karadua therefore appealed to principals of benefiting centres to ensure maximum utilization of the materials to achieve the objectives for which they were provided.
Earlier, the Director Vocational Technical of the Directorate Alhaji Jamilu Ladan Malumfashi spoke on the commitment of the State Government in the provision of the materials to the centres and the distribution process.
In a vote of thanks, on behalf of the principal of the Centres, Alhaji Shehu Lawal commended Governor Aminu Masari for his efforts to uplift the standard of the centers.
