BREAKING NEWS: Mourinho confirms world-record transfer for Pogba

Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has confirmed that Paul Pogba has signed for Manchester United.

The club had issued a statement before their Community Shield win over Leicester City, that the France midfielder had been given permission to undergo a medical by Juventus.

Less than 48hours after the ‘Special One’ won  the FA Charity Shield for the Club, he has added one of the world’s most sought after midfielders to the Manchester side.

“Finally, we have him. He comes to a winning side,” he said.

“the time is right to go back to Old Trafford”,  Paul Pogba said after completing his world record £89m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.

The 23-year-old midfielder returns after four years away, having left United for £1.5m in 2012.

Pogba, who has signed a five-year deal, added: “This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.”

“It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends.

“But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford. I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can’t wait to make my contribution to the team.

“This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.”

The transfer fee beats the estimated £85m that Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013.M
